Divers that take on this specialty will dive to a maximum of 40m / 130ft, which is the recreational dive limit for no stop diving. There are added risks with this kind of diving and a lot of the certification revolves around effective dive planning.
You will learn how to plan deep dives, manage your gas supply, deco time, recognise and deal with potential risks such as nitrogen narcosis and decompression sickness.
You will also witness how the colour spectrum changes, how increased pressure can affect objects and how deep dives can impact on your ability to carry out tasks.
This course consists of two open water dives.
